Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is seeking a highly skilled Legal Assistant for our client's prestigious law firm in the Dadeland area. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in litigation, particularly in fast-paced law firms. Experience in maritime law and insurance defense is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys with all aspects of litigation, including drafting, reviewing, and filing legal documents Manage the calendaring and scheduling for the Managing Partner, ensuring all deadlines and appointments are met Coordinate case follow-ups, ensuring all case milestones and client needs are addressed promptly Prepare and file documents in federal court, with a strong understanding of federal procedures and deadlines Handle noticing and filing for various legal proceedings Provide general administrative support, including correspondence, document management, and client communication Qualifications:
Minimum 7-10 years of experience as a Legal Assistant in a fast-paced law firm environment Strong experience in litigation is required. Experience in maritime law and insurance defense is a plus Must have experience with federal court filings, noticing, and adhering to federal procedures Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, legal research tools, and case management software Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work efficiently under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities
