Accountant - Entry Level Job at Robert Half in Glendora

We are offering a contract for an Entry Level Accountant position in Glendora, California. As an Entry Level Accountant, you will be working within the financial industry, providing crucial support to our team in the management and compliance monitoring of mutual funds. You will also play a key role in the preparation of various reports and the coordination of filing proxy voting.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee compliance with 1940 Act requirements, Prospectus and statement of additional information disclosure, and IRC requirements for mutual fund holdings.
• Aid in the preparation of monthly liquidity rule reports and fair valuation actions records.
• Contribute to the preparation of income estimates and memos for distributions.
• Review and provide statistical information for data collecting companies.
• Assist in the review and preparation of fund factsheets.
• Contribute to the preparation of reports for board books.
• Support the coordination of filing proxy voting on Form N-PX with the SEC.
• Assist in the registration of mutual funds with industry tracking organizations such as Reuters, ICI, Morningstar.
• Handle startup tasks for new funds, including obtaining cusip, ticker, and IRS tax identification number.
• Participate in special projects as required.• Position: Entry Level Accountant
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant field
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat
• Knowledge of Mutual Funds
• Familiarity with Registration Statements
• Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP)
