We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the manufacturing industry for an Accounting Clerk in Stratham, New Hampshire. This role involves maintaining the financial records of our organization by accurately recording the day to day financial transactions of the company. The work setting will be on-site and the working days will be from Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
• Oversee the reconciliation of accounts to ensure their accuracy.
• Manage accounts payable and ensure prompt and accurate payment of invoices.
• Handle accounts receivable and ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Facilitate the processing of customer invoices and billing statements.
• Maintain detailed and accurate financial records.
• Employ Microsoft Excel to keep track of business transactions and report findings.
• Use Sage Software for various accounting tasks.
• Ensure data entry tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Gain an understanding of ERP systems and their application in managing financial transactions.• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in account reconciliation to ensure accurate financial records
• Experience with both accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes
• Familiarity with the billing process and capable of performing it with accuracy and efficiency
• Strong data entry skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience in invoice processing, ensuring timely and accurate payments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and manage spreadsheets
• Knowledge of Sage Software for accounting purposes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex accounting issues.
