PURPOSE
This position will provide administrative support to the elementary school principal, including welcoming visitors and providing clerical support for Locust Street Elementary School.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
The Office Personnel is responsible for:
- Greeting office visitors, staff, and students.
- Completing bi-weekly and monthly payrolls.
- Assisting and orienting substitute teachers.
- Responsible for purchasing for the building - ordering, creating POs, approving invoices, etc.
- Handling student enrollment for the building and maintaining student drop/add records.
- Responsible for warehouse orders.
- Bookkeeping and completing monthly financial statements.
- Typing correspondence as necessary; letters, forms, etc.
- Answering telephones and responding to routine questions.
Perform other duties as necessary to support the mission and vision of Columbia Public School District and West Boulevard Elementary.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum: High School Diploma; Microsoft Office proficient. Accurate and detail-oriented. Strong interpersonal and excellent telephone communication skills.
The ideal candidate will have a professional and friendly demeanor with a demonstrated ability to work well with a variety of individuals in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred: Prior office/clerical experience and familiarity with computer programs; quick learner of new computer programs.
