What will you do?

Lead a team that builds and manages relationships with schools for community-based employment and transition services to assist teens in obtaining and maintaining competitive employment. Oversee all activities including recruitment efforts, initial assessments, intake process and job placement activities for youth program participants and their families. Deliver outstanding and highly responsive internal/external participant service with a high degree of flexibility and creativity to meet the needs of the program.

Essential Functions:

·       Ensure programmatic compliance with all applicable regulations, licensing and reporting standards, policy and procedures.

·       Manage program revenue and expenses to actively achieve budget outcomes for the program.

·       Effectively communicates (written and verbal) with state agencies, school officials, staff, and other stakeholders.

·       Travel to DVRS offices, high schools, community facilities and businesses as needed.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Oversee and implement statewide transition services consisting of school contracts, grants and Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Service Pre-ETS Services to support students and young adults with disabilities preparing to enter the workforce.

·       Build strong relationships with Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (DVRS) counselors and with school districts to expand contracts and specialized DVRS services.

·       Establish and maintain contacts with high school transition team members and college disability services personnel to promote transitions during high school year to successful postsecondary placement.

·       Develops and maintains curriculum for youth programs.

·       Effectively manages and supports the Supported Employment team in identifying resources to support vocational goals for youth, specifically School Contracts and Specialized DVRS services

·       Conduct/Coordinate/Support recruitment efforts, initial assessments, intake process and job placement activities.

·       Attend transition fairs, job fairs, and other related activities.

·       Complete monthly invoice for transition services and complete employment services billing routinely.

·       Maintain documentation and report writings of consumers measurable progress per grant requirements and compliance.

·       Lead all efforts to ensure 100% compliance with regulatory requirements in accordance with Easterseals NJ and DVRS standards.

·       Monitors/Reviews/Maintains the compliance, accuracy, and timeliness of participant records, documentation, progress reports.

·       Collaborates with internal/external stakeholders to ensure that participants reach their fullest potential.

·       Ensure transition team is appropriately promoting ENJ’s programs and services.

·       Work with Employment Services Team to ensure each student’s family engagement in his/her child’s transition development towards successful independent living and post-secondary goals.

 

Job Requirements:

·       Bachelor’s degree in human services or education with at least two (2) years in Transition Services or educational setting.

·       Minimum of one year of management experience.

·       Experience providing individual and group based Pre-ETS 5 core services to youth/young adults with disabilities between the ages of 14 – 24.

·       Ability to adapt communication effectively to meet individual’s functioning level, communication style and access needs.

·       Must have a valid driver’s license & acceptable driving record to travel throughout the state if needed. 

·       Excellent writing skills and effective communication skills.  Ability to work with confidential information.

·       Must meet strict deadlines, be organized, and able to multitask and problem-solve. Ability to work flexible hours.

·       Experience in cloud-based classroom (google Classroom, Canva, etc.).

·       Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

 

Full Time Monday - Friday
