- $60K - $70K Annually
The Restaurant General Manager will manage all aspects of restaurant operations while leading a dedicated team. You'll take ownership of daily opening and closing activities, coordinate staff training, and maintain high-quality food and service standards. Additionally, you will assist with event coordination and inventory management. By fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment, you’ll ensure that both employees and guests consistently have exceptional experiences.
- Lead and organize pre-shift meetings to share goals and updates.
- Supervise day-to-day operations, including opening and closing activities.
- Assist in creating marketing plans and local outreach initiatives to drive sales.
- Conduct training programs for new hires and provide ongoing employee development.
- Coordinate with various teams for group events to ensure seamless execution.
- Plan and oversee special restaurant events, while ensuring consistency in quality and service.
- Manage food and liquor inventory, meeting quality and cost standards.
- Act as a role model for outstanding leadership and professionalism.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop creative menu offerings.
- Oversee food orders and control food costs effectively.
- Handle guest interactions positively and ensure satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly.
- Manage inventory systems for both food and beverages to maintain operational benchmarks.
- Schedule and monitor staff labor to align with business needs and labor targets.
- Enforce company policies through coaching and progressive disciplinary measures when necessary.
- Maintain accurate payroll and Point of Sale system records for labor tracking.
- Analyze and manage profit and loss statements and budget variances.
- Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support consistent service standards.
- Ensure health and safety regulations are upheld for the safety of team members and guests.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- College degree or equivalent experience in restaurant operations preferred.
- Certification in BASSET required.
- ServSafe Manager Certification is preferred.
