Job Description:As a skilled Business Analyst, your role involves collaborating with business SMEs, gathering requirements, and supporting the project team in achieving successful outcomes. You will assist in defining and documenting user stories, acceptance criteria, and test cases. Additionally, they will guide the team in analysis techniques and best practices, ensuring all documentation is properly maintained and shared. Key Responsibilities: Conduct interviews with business SMEs to clarify questions from the project team. Facilitate requirements gathering and refinement processes. Capture and document User Stories and Acceptance Criteria in the system of record. Elaborate on acceptance criteria and test cases for verification, SIT, and UAT. Serve as a tester for validation, SIT, and creation of UAT case scenarios. Mentor the team on analysis techniques and best practices, providing guidance to the PO/SM/PM. Identify and propose solutions, create mock-ups, and present to both the team and business stakeholders. Create and maintain detailed documentation of business requirements, processes, and solutions. Develop design documentation as needed. Represent stakeholders and ensure requirements are accurately implemented in sprints. Groom the project backlog with the team and developers. Quickly become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the project. Ensure that sprint implementations align with the project plan and requirements. Maintain and share all documentation in designated online/cloud locations for team access. Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies: Proven experience in requirement gathering, documentation, and analysis. Strong facilitation skills for gathering and refining business requirements. Experience in creating and elaborating on User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and test cases. Ability to mentor team members on analysis techniques and Agile best practices. Familiarity with business process documentation, mock-ups, and solution presentations. Knowledge of software development lifecycle and Agile project methodologies. Clear and concise communication skills for interacting with stakeholders at all levels. Active listening skills to understand user needs and goals. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into easily understandable terms. Strong critical thinking skills for evaluating and solving complex problems. Experience with Microsoft products, including: Azure DevOps, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio. Ability to identify patterns and trends in data and improve efficiency. Experience working with cross-functional teams including developers, designers, and project managers. Ability to facilitate discussions and reach consensus on requirements. Preferred Qualifications: Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification. Experience working in an Agile environment and familiarity with Agile project terminology. Strong data analysis and manipulation skills using relevant tools. Knowledge of data visualization techniques. The hourly range for roles of this nature are $45.00 to $80.00/hr.
