e are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Controller to join our dynamic finance team. This is a high visibility role responsible for financial activities, ensuring compliance and providing accurate and timely financial reporting to senior management.
Key Accountabilities:
Lead Corporate accounting team in technical excellence in GAAP and IFRS, including any other international standards. Lead the monthly close process, flash reporting, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and reconciliations, and analyzing accounting data. Assist in detailed analysis of budget vs. actual and monthly reporting package, to assist in ensuring complete and accurate financial statements. Prepare Annual audit report including footnote preparation and financial disclosures. Supervise the Company's accounting policies, particularly complex and non-routine issues, to ensure ongoing compliance with US GAAP, ASC 606 and IFRS. Advise and/or prepare technical memos and analysis to support accounting treatment and other finance implications for complex areas such as business combinations, consolidations, revenue recognition, leases, stock-based compensation, debt and equity transactions, among others. Manage external audits (and any quarterly or other interim reviews) for the consolidated company. Advise and implement internal controls related to reporting process and finance functions including documentation and adherence of department policies and procedures. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial goals are aligned with overall company objectives. Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices to ensure the company remains competitive. In-office Commitment: This position requires a commitment to contribute to our collaborative culture by working in-office three days weekly
Requirements & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance 8+ years’ experience with a strong understanding of GAAP Experience with software industry/SAAS and CPA required. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Strong critical thinking and internal and external stakeholder & team management skills High level of attention to detail Maintain a high level of dependability and reliability. Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially involving process documentation. Demonstrate a high level of continuous process improvement to ensure efficiency and compliance in Accounting/Finance activities.
