Position Summary:
The Accounting Manager will work closely with the Corporate Controller to ensure that all functions impacted by the accounting team are operating effectively. The Accounting Manager will need to be able to think critically and be able to analytically evaluate and diagnose potential issues within the organization while also being able to provide reasonable and thought-out solutions to those problems. Further, the Accounting Manager will be an important piece in the scaling of the Accounting Department for the organization as a whole.

Job Responsibilities:
- Review and prepare balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and profit and loss statements.
- Assist in the monthly close process.
- Assist in the drafting of the consolidated GAAP financial statements as well as internal financial reporting.
- Assist in the resolution of A/R and A/P issues.
- Maintain fixed asset and leasing records.
- Prepare audit and tax related requests.
- Maintain accounting controls by reviewing and recommending internal controls and policies.
- Participate in the capital expenditure approval and expenditure tracking processes.
- Ability to identify significant and/or unusual accounting transactions and/or other technical accounting matters that need to be further addressed.
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing accounting information and trends.
- Utilize Excel and other means to manipulate and evaluate large data sets in order to identify trends, opportunities, etc.
- Identify and implement process enhancements to improve reporting accuracy and maximize departmental efficiency.
- Manage GL Team and be able to assist in their professional growth while also providing productive and meaningful feedback.
- Maintain a professional, team-oriented demeanor.
Position Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 5 years of applicable experience required
- CPA certification required
- Consumer products experience strongly preferred
- Public accounting experience preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP systems is preferred
- Experience in a growing, acquisitive company.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Ability to work effectively with departments/production facilities/associates across Company

- Proficient in MS Excel (e.g., data manipulation, pivot tables, vlookups, etc.)

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
