The manager will also design and implement standard policies to maintain accurate and compliant financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable/Receivable Management:
- Verifies, tracks, and processes all AP, AR, and contract-related functions.
- Manage vendor payables including onboarding and all forms of payment.
- Processes customer payments, grower payables, and handles bank deposits.
- Communicates with customers, suppliers, and vendors regarding AP/AR matters.
- Crop pool accounting
- Data Management:
- Verifies and records incoming USDA grower documentation.
- Tracks and manages grower contracts and payments.
- Manage inventory and statements for the grower pool.
- GL Maintenance and account reconciliation.
- Manage and maintain the GL all subledgers and chart of accounts.
- Reporting:
- Generates reports to assess collections, account ages, and other important metrics.
- Performs quarterly and annual reporting verifications.
- Almond Board and statement reporting.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
Experience:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in AP/AR or finance roles.
- GL Accounting experience required.
Knowledge:
- Solid understanding of basic AP/AR accounting principles.
- Familiarity with accounting software (Sage 50) and general software tools (MS Excel, MS Office), and inventory systems.
Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Excel, data entry, and spreadsheet management.
- Attention to detail in verification, analysis, and tracking of financial data.
