Company Overview:
Our firm is a growing private equity firm supporting businesses in strategic growth. This summer, we are offering a part-time internship for students interested in gaining practical experience in accounting, with a special focus on tax preparation and planning. This opportunity is ideal for individuals looking to deepen their understanding of accounting practices and tax law in a real-world setting.
Internship Activities:
- Research: Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to support tax planning and compliance activities.
- Reconciliation: Assist in preparing balance sheet and bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Invoice Analysis: Learn to analyze invoices and apply appropriate accounting treatment, following company policies.
- Voucher Preparation: Accurately prepare vouchers in PeopleSoft, learning to do so in a timely manner.
- Audit Support: Provide support in gathering and organizing documentation for audit requests.
- Journal Entries: Learn to compile and analyze financial information and assist in preparing journal entries to general ledger accounts.
- Document Management: Help organize and maintain tax documents and client files for easy access and review.
- Project Support: Collaborate on special projects and be willing to take on other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A focus on taxation is highly preferred.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to team goals.
