2nd Shift- 3- 11:30 PM

Pay rate- $16.55 - $17.00 per hour

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Custodian/Maintenance Worker to ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of office buildings, laboratories, classrooms, and outdoor areas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks related to facility maintenance, cleanliness, and upkeep, ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment for employees and visitors. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently, and the flexibility to respond to on-call situations as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and Sanitation: Empty trash cans, replace liners, clean and disinfect surfaces, and sanitize high-touch areas to maintain a healthy environment.
• Floor Care: Vacuum, mop, sweep, and polish floors, ensuring all surfaces are kept clean and free of debris or dust.
• Window and Glass Cleaning: Clean windows, glass doors, and other glass surfaces for a spotless, streak-free appearance.
• Dusting and Surface Maintenance: Remove dust, cobwebs, and other debris from surfaces, furniture, and fixtures.
• Furniture and Equipment Movement: Safely move and rearrange furniture, appliances, and equipment as required for cleaning or setup purposes.
• Outdoor Maintenance: Keep outdoor areas clean and tidy, including tasks such as sweeping walkways, collecting litter, and maintaining exterior windows and doors.
• Special Projects and Calls: Respond to emergency cleaning and maintenance requests during business hours and on-call situations.
• Supplies and Inventory: Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and report when items need replenishment.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols while using cleaning agents, equipment, and machinery to ensure a safe working environment for all occupants.

Requirements:

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred.
• Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and moving furniture and equipment.
• Good time management and attention to detail.
• Must be available for on-call duties as required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet the needs of the facility.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures.
