The Applications Engineer Manager position delivers technical expertise for Performance Digital SOC device testing solution implementation to customer based on Advantest 93K products and services. It provides support for both pre-sales and post-sales assessment of customer needs as well as quick implementation/execution of the solution. You'll work on cutting edge technology working side by side with our customers in close collaboration with R D and marketing in a cross-functional, international environment. This is an ideal position for a software or electrical engineer with a strong test engineering background, requiring both in depth knowledge of the V93000 system, as well as strong SW skills for writing test programs and tooling to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities include:
- Ability to manage a technical team and provide technical leadership of Advantest V93000 Semiconductor Test Systems and Applications for a specific customer or wherever business needs dictate.
- Good Understanding of High Performance Compute Space and AI Industry.
- Ability to guide team on hardware design and software test libraries.
- Focus during various phases of the sales process including requirements analysis, feature-by-feature demonstrations, benchmarks, competitive positioning, and implementation/execution, generally allocated by project and engineering services.
- Ensures the product functions per specifications.
- Integrates Advantest products and services (at the system/solutions level) into customer's environment
- Perform analysis of complex IC manufacturer customer requirements providing expertise on topics such as: Performance, Design, Utilization, Optimization, test program development/conversions and Implementation Strategies
- Accountable for the design, scoping, and technical validity of the solution to achieve the customer's business objectives.
- Identifies resources required to deliver customer solutions and tracks and manages the deliverables committed to
- Keeps other technical consultants (country wide) informed of new and emerging technologies and information in their business segment.
- Creates such value with their expertise, candidate becomes part of customer's business process. Ability to have some influence on customer's decision process and business.
- Create project plans for complex projects and track project completion
- Represents customer's needs of their assigned business segment to field or factory
- Focus for technical topics is on digital, mixed signal and RF technologies.
- Works on system/application engineering assignments with clearly defined objectives
- Solves problems of limited scope and complexity
- Deliver customer training classes and consulting related to our application, as well as occasional pre-sales support
- Assist with the ATE test interface board (load board) design and verification for High Performance Compute Applications.

Requirements
Requirements:
- BS in electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent discipline with applicable experience in Performance Digital.
- V93000 ATE test engineering experience
- Knowledge and experience on test program development for the V93000 using SmarTest 7 or SmarTest 8 and Test Method coding
- Familiarity with ATE test interface board (load board) design and verification for digital .
- Good understanding of Structural and Functional Test Methodologies.
- >10 year's practical experience in application development or test engineering on ATE
- Demonstrated experience with LINUX, JAVA, C, C++
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of semiconductor industry and market trends
- Ability to work in a fast paced, project oriented, team environment
- Positive attitude and good communication skills
Additional Skills Preferred (but not required):
- MS in electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent discipline with applicable experience in RF test
- Knowledge and experience of test program development for V93000 in Smartest 8
- Signal integrity design, simulation and measurement experience
- Demonstrated technical leadership skills
