Job Summary
The Quality Management Systems Analyst will participate in the assessment, monitoring, development and implementation of policies and procedures relevant to Technology Quality Management Systems. The Analyst provides support to the Technology department by providing expertise with respect to Quality Management System (QMS) contents, application of process, and quality management. The Analyst administers and improves the content, usability, clarity, monitoring, and effectiveness of the QMS.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Contribute to the development, refinement, and monitoring of the NAV CANADA Quality Management System ensuring that alignment with organizational goals and relevant standards.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather, define, and develop requirements for QMS policies and processes, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and relevant standards.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of QMS processes, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop mechanisms for ongoing quality monitoring, providing regular reports on QMS performance to key stakeholders and leadership to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Oversee and maintain comprehensive records of policies, processes, standards, procedures, templates, and other QMS-related documentation to ensure consistency, compliance, and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure content is up to date and well structured.
  • Conduct regular reviews of QMS documentation and standards to identify and implement updates as required by standards updates or organizational changes.
  • Identify areas for improvement within the QMS, focusing on increasing efficiency and ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Recommend, develop, and implement strategies to address any identified gaps.
  • Develop and monitor Corrective Action Plans to resolve audit findings, coordinating with relevant teams to implement improvements and track the effectiveness of these solutions over time.
  • Partner with cross functional teams, including ATM Solutions, CNS Solutions, Technical Services, Technical Service Training, Safety and Quality, to integrate QMS improvements into broader quality initiatives.
  • Provide guidance to management on quality management regulatory requirements, best practices, and compliance standards.
  • Coordinate with relevant teams to plan, report, and implement actions for quality audits that ensure compliance with relevant standards.
  • Develop and deliver QMS training to technical teams, tailoring content to suit the needs of technical staff.


Job Requirements

Education:
  • Diploma in Electronic Technology, Computer Science, Systems/Software Engineering, Information Technology, or other related Technology field or equivalent combination of experience, training, and education.


Experience:
  • Minimum of 3+ years of technology experience.
  • Significant experience in change management practices.
  • Significant experience working in or closely with business and/or operational functions.
  • Experience working with Teams, SharePoint Online, Power Platform (PowerBI, Power Automate, Power Apps), and other business tools.
  • Experience in project management.


Knowledge:
  • Broad knowledge of complex electronic systems obtained through completion of a recognized course in electronics technology combined with substantial experience in the maintenance of equipment and systems supporting the delivery of air navigation services.
  • Knowledge of systems and software lifecycle processes.
  • General knowledge of services provided to the aviation community.
  • Knowledge of process analysis techniques to define, measure and improve processes.
  • Knowledge of techniques required to create, implement, and monitor corrective action plans both independently and collaboratively.
  • Knowledge of the general business processes including project management, planning, collaborating, and communicating.


Abilities:
  • Ability to analyze processes to evaluate their complexity and associated communications requirements.
  • Ability to contribute to and align with the vision and strategy for Technology Quality group.
  • Ability to collaborate with a varied team of represented and management employees across various business functions.
  • Ability to negotiate guidelines, policies, and communications process and get consensus at all levels.
  • Facilitation skills with the ability to interface with key stakeholders and senior management and build sustainable relationships.
  • Ability to think strategically and influence change initiatives as well as innovation.
  • Ability to write comprehensive analysis reports on project results, conclusions, and recommendations.

Working Conditions:
  • Hybrid: This position is based at the Ottawa TSC and is eligible for a flexible work arrangement with 1 day/week in office.
