to join Rutgers as a
Director
for our
Observation Unit/Rapid Decision Unit (RDU). The Director will be responsible for administrative supervision of all medical services performed in the RDU, managing the RDU per organizational and regulatory guidelines, and overseeing all physicians and mid-levels by their job descriptions. The Department of Emergency Medicine has a well-established 3-year residency program and an Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship. Our faculty participates in all aspects of medical student and resident education. The Emergency Department at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital has an annual volume of 73,000. This is a great opportunity for an eager physician to join a well-established, multi-disciplinary team alongside a robust support staff, including advanced practice providers and scribes, to deliver high-level care at an academic institution. Responsibilities: Managing and delivering clinical services only in the observation unit. Teaching and supervising physician assistants, nurse practitioners, medical students, and Emergency Medicine residents. Coordinating clinical services.
