Insight Global is seeking a Senior Cloud Database Administrator. This resource will be responsible for setting the strategy for cloud database management as well as maintaining the current on prem sql server databases and related systems. This includes the evaluation of whether a new database/application should be set up in the cloud or on prem, installation of new SQL Server instances either in the cloud or on prem, database consolidation, cloud migration, and upgrading across a geographically dispersed global infrastructure. Given the teams newness to cloud, this role will be expected to mentor current team on and expand their skillsets beyond just SQL Server such as Azure, Virtual Servers, etc.

Required Skills & Experience - 5+ years of database administration experience - 3+ years supporting Azure SQL cloud-based databases - Experience with both Cloud and On-Prem Databases - Intermediate knowledge of TSQL and writing TSQL codes - Strong experience in database tuning and project support, database server upgrades and migrations, writing and troubleshooting database stored procedures. - Experience supporting Microsoft SQL Server running on VMware - Experience using PowerShell to automate administration tasks
Nice to Have Skills & Experience - Experience with SQL Server AlwaysOn - Microsoft Dynamics - Azure CLI and/or PowerShell? - Experience using PowerShell to automate administration tasks - Knowledge of Azure Data Factory - Knowledge of SnowFlake
