Description
Leidos is seeking a Lead Network Engineer to contribute to the Advanced Battle Management System's (ABMS) Digital Infrastructure (DI) Network Manager program. In this pivotal role, you will support the Department of the Air Force (DAF) in deploying and operating the ABMS Digital Infrastructure. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering both hands-on training and training requirements for the ABMS DI Network capability.
ABMS represents a significant modernization initiative for the DAF, forming the backbone of a network-centric approach to battle management across all services of the Department of Defense. This initiative is part of a broader endeavor known as Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2), which aims to enable U.S. forces and their allies to rapidly sense, interpret, and act on vast amounts of data, outpacing adversaries' responses.
This position is based in our Orlando, FL office and offers a hybrid work schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging lecture-based and hands-on training sessions in a classroom environment on relevant ABMS DI-Network system topics.
Implement upgrades to network systems at various field sites, both domestically and internationally, as needed.
Oversee the SD-WAN architecture, ensuring operational and security-related updates are executed effectively.
Manage Secure Vector Routing tables, including gathering requirements for traffic prioritization and routing.
Mentor team members, providing guidance on architecture and configuration intricacies.
Deliver management updates on the Digital Infrastructure Network's status and performance.
Basic Qualifications
U.S. citizenship is required, along with a minimum of a Top Secret clearance.
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience coupled with 12+ years of relevant experience.
Proven experience as a trainer for system networks or related technical topics.
Thorough knowledge of network engineering, architecture, and automation.
Experience in configuring, activating, testing, and analyzing network systems.
Familiarity with:
Python script development.
Elasticsearch / Logstash / Kibana.
Linux systems administration.
Windows systems administration.
Ability to drive the development of solutions that influence strategic project goals and recommend new technical solutions, products, or standards.
Experience managing technical staff on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) or cross-functional initiatives, leading to impactful project outcomes.
Exceptional written and verbal communication, along with strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ABMS or JADC2 initiatives or other programs for the U.S. Air Force.
Knowledge and hands-on expertise with SD-WAN.
Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
Software engineering experience, particularly in developing, authoring, and documenting test cases for agile software products.
Experience in working with and testing Commercial Cloud Platforms (e.g., AWS) and DevOps tools.

Pay Range:
Pay Range: $112,450.00 - $203,275.00
