By providing merchants and content owners the highest level of expertise and support by understanding the unique need of the live events segment of the local commerce.Strategic Account Managers serve as advisors and counselors who help these industry leading merchants realize their marketing objectives, ensure effective execution of GrouponLive campaigns and ready them for the next effort in partnership. Candidates must possess strong business acumen, a balance of analytic and interpersonal skills, a strong drive to achieve measurable results, an understanding and appreciation for the live events industry (comprises Sports, Concerts, Arts & Theatre, Family and Comedy) and the ability to multitask. Strategic Account Managers interact with multiple departments at Groupon and must be able to foster collaborative relationships with a variety of internal stakeholders.We're a "best of both worlds" kind of company. Let's get into the details:You'll spend time on the following:Serve as a consultant to accounts as they seek to maximize the ROI of their Groupon campaignsManage on average 40-60 new campaign launches per weekEnsure successful and smooth redemption process, particular given live event-based deal structuresManage GrouponLive's proprietary process with Ticketmaster, where the Groupon voucher effectively becomes a ticket for event entryWork alongside GrouponLive's Operations and Ticketmaster to execute GIA, AXS and Tickets.com processes properlyManage communication with merchants through each step of the relationship, from feature prep to day-of-feature and post-featureExecute post-sale merchant communications, conflict resolution, and compliance on merchant deliverablesEnsure any client issues are resolved in a timely mannerWork closely with Groupon's Accounts Payable and Customer Service teamsEnsure any issues are resolved in a timely mannerHelp support GrouponLive Account Management team with internal projects that may include:Assist and create training material for the Account Management teamWork closely with Head of Account Management to help improve internal tools/processes within internal departmentsBuild new reporting for internal tools at GrouponWe're excited about you if you have:3-4 years of relevant experience in Account Management, Sales, Operations, Consulting or General ManagementBachelor's degreeAbility to work on numerous projects simultaneously with aggressive turnaround deadlinesAccuracy of projects, proofing and quality assuranceStrong communication skills, both written and verbalProficient in Microsoft Word and ExcelTeam player as well as self-initiative/self starterSalesforce, Zendesk or other CRM experience preferredThis role is hybrid out of our Chicago office.
