Location: Richmond, VA - local candidates only due to onsite requirements Type: HybridContract Length: 6 months Required Skills - 3 + years with all of the following: Data visualisation techniquest Microsoft product knowledge and experience with Microsoft tools Experience in requirements gathering and documentation Clear and concise communication with stakeholders at all levels Breaking down complex [problems into manageable componentsAgile project terminology and experience on an Agile team Business Analyst Role duties:Interview the business SMEs to investigate questions from the project teamFacilitate requirements gathering (REFINEMENTS)Capturing & documenting User Stories & Acceptance Criteria in our system of record)Elaborate acceptance criteria, test cases (verification, SIT, UAT)May serve as tester (validation, SIT, creation and creation / facilitation of UAT case scenarios)Mentor team on analysis techniques and best practices as observed, guidance to PO/SM/PMIdentifying and suggesting solutions, documenting mockups, presenting to team and businessCreating detailed documentation of business requirements, processes, solutionsMay create required design documentation as neededRepresent the stakeholders (keep things honest)Grooms backlog with the team/developersQuickly become a SME to our projectValidate that the implementations in our Sprints match the project plan/requirementsKeep all documentation stored and shared with the team in our designated online/cloud locations at all times Preferred qualifications:ProfessionalAdaptable to the styles of the ongoing project and project team (very Agile)Thrives in a team environment, autonomous, self startingData analysis and manipulation using toolsData visualization techniquesFamiliarity with project management toolsMicrosoft product knowledge and experience with Microsoft tools:Azure DevOpsPowerPointTeamsSharePointOutlookWordExcelVisioUnderstanding of software development lifecycleAbility to understand business needs and goalsKnowledge of industry-specific processes and terminologyExperience in requirement gathering and documentationClear and concise communication with stakeholders at all levelsActive listening to understand user needsAbility to translate complex technical concepts into layman's termsIdentifying patterns and trends in data, efficiencyCritical thinking to evaluate potential solutionsBreaking down complex problems into manageable componentsWorking effectively with cross-functional teams including developers, designers, and project managersFacilitating discussions and reaching consensus on requirementsCertified Business Analysis ProfessionalAgile project terminology and experience on an Agile team
