AVP, Internal Communications

Location:

Flexible within the tri-state area but required to commute to Morristown, NJ, as requested.

Information About the Role and Team:

The Assistant Vice President, Internal Communications, is responsible for managing internal communications across corporate functions (Corporate Communications, areas of Human Resources, Finance, including Real Estate and Facilities, IT, Cyber Security, Risk and Legal) and C&F Business Divisions as requested.

The role is instrumental in heightening employee awareness, understanding and engagement around corporate and division initiatives and activities and in positioning C&F as an as Employer of Choice - both internally and externally - where employees can learn, grow and maximize their potential.

What you will do: Provide strategic internal communications counsel and execution support to C&F's Corporate Functions and Business Divisions Develop and execute communication and engagement strategies that align with Corporate Function and/or Division goals and objectives, ensuring consistent and effective messaging to employees, maintaining relevant KPIs and metrics on activities Develop and execute communication and engagement strategies specifically for the Marketing and Corporate Communications function, measuring communication engagement and employee knowledge about the function and how it can support business needs Perform outreach to business and function leaders to share communication best practices and metrics, showing how these increase engagement and employee satisfaction Manage writing and/or editing for the Corporate Functions, most notably Corporate HR Award submissions, e.g., Great Place to Work, etc., along with C&F's annual Social Impact Report, business division award submissions as requested Create and manage Corporate Functions communications calendar/tracker so that all corporate employee messaging is scheduled appropriately Partner with Social and Website Leads to ensure alignment of C&F's cultural messaging on social media and web channels Collaborate with Public Relations Lead to proactively identify speaking engagements, employer awards and recognition opportunities to amplify C&F's employer brand recognition and expertise Develop, manage and share Corporate Communication and Marketing Standards, (templates, AP Style Sheet) Guidelines and Best Practices What YOU will bring to C&F:

Excellent writing and communication skills, with solid knowledge of AP style Experience in serving as an internal communications business partner Consultant mindset that focuses on listening, asking probing questions and offering creative solutions that meet our business partners' objectives in the most effective way. Knowledge of traditional communications platforms and emerging trends, ability to use metrics to continuously improve engagement Ability to take initiative, conscientiously following through on areas of responsibility, and manage the needs of multiple stakeholders Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fluid environment, often working under pressure and juggling multiple deadlines Understanding of corporate culture and ability to work well across organizational lines in a highly decentralized structure Ability to work independently and on teams Demonstrate strong mentoring, influencing, relationship building, planning and organizational skills. Drive and role model the C&F culture, values and core competencies within their teams. Requirements:

10+ years of employee communications, public relations and/or marketing experience in a corporate setting, working with C-Suite executives Bachelor's degree in Corporate Communications, PR, Journalism, Business or related field Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) #LI-MS

Salary ranges are available for all positions at this location, taking into account roles with a comparable level of responsibility and impact in the relevant labor market and these salary ranges are regularly reviewed and adjusted in accordance with prevailing market conditions. The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $111,100 to a maximum of $162,900. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee's contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
