Korn Ferry has partnered with our client on their search for Finance Director.
Position Summary
The Finance Director will partner with the VP/General Manager and Precision Component leadership to drive both commercial & operational results along with business process improvements. A successful candidate will have previous experience with a larger manufacturing company that has sound business processes & practices. The Finance Director will also oversee all financial planning & analysis, reporting and month-end close processes.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Partners with business leadership to support and drive both commercial (orders, pricing, sales, profitability) and operational (productivity, on-time delivery, working capital & other KPI) results.
Drives root cause analysis’ and corrective actions with team when KPI’s or financials are tracking behind commitments or targets.
Coordinates & prepares weekly, monthly & quarterly financial reporting requirements.
Takes a lead role in the preparation of various forecast requirements & completion of the annual operating plan.
Ensures data integrity and consistency throughout the plants and systems.
Works with IT & finance teams to streamline/automate the reporting & forecasting processes.
Coordinates the monthly business performance review meeting for the Precision Component Group
Oversees monthly close process and account reconciliation process.
Directs the annual revision of product costs, physical inventory counts at the plants and monitors the cycle count programs.
Lead and coach the finance and accounting team for top grade performance, timely results, and career development.
Partner with the corporate ERP Team to implement Microsoft D365 across the Precision Component operations (~2024).
Experience and Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
10+ years of experience with a minimum of 5 years in a medium-to-large manufacturing company.
Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal communication, problem-solving skills, with a strong work ethic.
Able to identify, manage and lead business improvement projects.
Strong leadership skills to lead and develop talent.
Comfortable holding peers accountable while also supporting on driving corrective actions.
Strong quantitative and analytical competency.
CPA or CMA license strongly preferred.
Microsoft Great Plains, JobBOSS, or D365 experience would be considered a plus.
