Travel Pharmacist - $3,426 per week in Austin, TX

Job Title: Pharmacist Job Specialty: Clinical-Allied-Travel Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Variable Night Shift and Weekend Rotation; 6:30 pm - 7:00 am, 10-12 hour shifts, 7 days on and 7 days off Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Experience: 2 years hospital staff pharmacist experience (Pediatric experience preferred) License: Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Texas Certifications: RPH certification, preferred 40 hours of training in compounding sterile products accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education or the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists Must-Have: Proficiency in EPIC software, English proficiency (speak, read, write) Job Description: - Promote pharmaceutical care by managing the medication process and resolving drug-related issues. - Oversee medication dose appropriateness concerning patient diagnosis, weight/body surface area, allergies, and drug interactions. - Accurately enter medication orders into the computer to prevent medication incidents. - Ensure correct medication delivery and processing based on established guidelines to avoid dispensing errors. - Maintain aseptic technique and infection control in preparing sterile products. - Ensure all team members, including technicians and pharmacists, practice aseptic techniques and follow infection control protocols. - Complete annual re-certification in aseptic technique/infection control, achieving at least 90% on both skills and written exams. - Work within a hospital environment servicing patients across all age groups, from neonatal to adult.
