We have an excellent opportunity based in our Irvine, CA office, for a highly motivated Accounting Manager whose responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, general ledger accounting, accounts payable and procurement. The Accounting Manager is an integral member of the accounting team providing expertise and leadership in financial reporting, analysis, and operations. This person is responsible for leading a team, managing day-to-day general accounting activities and collaborating with various cross-functional teams. The role will be heavily involved in the period-end close and quarterly reporting process. The Accounting Manager is the first point of contact for accounting issue escalation and effectively communicates and continues to escalate issues and information to appropriate Accounting leader in a timely manner. This role will report to the Assistant Controller and assist with all aspects of the financial close process and other crucial internal and external reporting needs. The Accounting Manager must have an active CPA License.

General Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and monthly and annual closing processes.
- Manage the accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations. Motivate, mentor, develop, and manage accounting team members. Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the Accounting Team. Work with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress to enhance the professional development of Associates.
- Perform year over year and period over period variance analysis for consolidated financial statements. Working cross functionally to understand variances and ensure accuracy of financials.
- Review period-end account reconciliations and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information. Review periodic reporting designed to assist operations and departments with understanding specific results.
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Coordinate and oversee annual audits and prepare necessary schedules and disclosures.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal controls. Proactively research and document conclusions on accounting and compliance issues with appropriate references to relevant GAAP, internal and external accounting policies.
- Manage/lead special projects including testing system enhancements, report development and establishing new account reconciliations.
- Full-time, Salaried, Exempt
- Salary Range is $124,700 - $166,000
The above represents the expected pay range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we will consider your experience and other job-related factors.
- Office Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:00 am-5:00 pm with occasional nights and weekends for event support.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
- Minimum of 7 years' of progressive Accounting experience, including a minimum of 2 years in public accounting required
- 2-5 years of supervisory experience
- Active CPA license required
- Ability to ensure confidentiality, take initiative and exercise considerable judgment
- Ability to confidently communicate with external auditors
- Exceptional collaborative and teamwork skills
- Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines
- Highly self-motivated, independent and proactive worker who is eager to learn
- Advanced Excel skills
- Some travel is required
