Your Role at KIK
The Benefits Manager reports to the Benefits Director. You are an important part of the HR Center of Excellence that oversees the Benefits team's success. This role manages benefit plans/policies, internal and external communication, enrollment systems and reporting, vendor relationships and financial cost accounting. The Benefits Manager demonstrates subject matter expertise for US and Canada benefits and leave programs, strong strategic and tactical capabilities, drives employee focused education initiatives, and ensures the accuracy of benefits program data and analytics.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. This position has a base salary range of $100,000 - 120,000 plus an annual incentive. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.

Your Role at KIK
The Benefits Manager reports to the Benefits Director. You are an important part of the HR Center of Excellence that oversees the Benefits team's success. The Benefits Manager demonstrates subject matter expertise for US and Canada benefits and leave programs, strong strategic and tactical capabilities, drives employee focused education initiatives, and ensures the accuracy of benefits program data and analytics.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supervises human resources benefits specialist driving team performance and program initiatives forward while serving as the resource for staff addressing daily questions, providing guidance on benefits plans, policies and procedures
- Manages US and Canada benefits and leave programs including but not limited to medical, wellness, dental, vision, spending accounts, EAP, voluntary benefits, retirement plans (401k, RRSP and Pension) and leave administration.
- Ensures the accuracy of benefits and leave data including enrollment, leave of absence, payroll, provider data reconciliation, billing and cost allocation to divisions
- Leads and manages Open Enrollment event including coordinating with external broker, carriers, technical and system requirements and testing, develop and deliver communications materials to trainers, managers and employees.
- Become a HR System (Oracle HCM and Benefitsolver) super user and lead all technical requirements, testing, implementation and reporting
- Develop and implement benefit employee communication strategies to maximize the value of benefits to the employees of the organization
- Reviews, approves and submits all benefits invoices for payment, reconcile reimbursements and provide monthly divisional cost allocation to Finance
- Maintains knowledge of benefit trends & regulations to ensure that new trends/regulations are incorporated in the current and future benefit programs of the Company and to differentiate as an employer of choice
- Facilitates competitive benefits benchmarking with affiliated internal and external parties
- Identifies, recommends, and implements process improvements
- Performs other duties as assigned, including special projects
What You'll Bring
- Minimum of 5 years of previous Human Resources benefits experience with demonstrated success supervising staff
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of employment law, including but not limited to ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, DOL, ACA, FMLA, ADA, state leaves, Canada mandatory benefits, government reporting, etc.
- Strong relationship management skills with internal clients and external clients (e.g. managers, employees, brokers, carriers, attorney) with proven ability to develop collaborative approaches
- Exceptional oral, written, and presentation communication skills are a must. This position frequently communicates with internal and external customers at remotely using communications via email, phone and video
- Demonstrates sound judgment and discretion regarding confidential information
- Strong project management skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines
- Good multi-tasking and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Proactive mindset with ability to solve problems independently, leveraging resources
- Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, exceptionally strong in Excel
- Adept and experienced in HR and Payroll systems
- Strong financial and analytical aptitude with ability to manipulate, review and analyze data
- Ability to travel to Atlanta Home office or US/Canada plants as needed (less than 10%)
