Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Senior Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) to join our global URUS People team. You will have a unique opportunity to join a matrixed organization supporting almost 500 staff in one of URUS' fastest growing subsidiary companies, Trans Ova Genetics. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a matrixed organization and will be passionate about aligning, communicating, and delivering the highest level of service to our employees.

You will build partnerships and collaborate with leadership within Trans Ova Genetics and cross-functionally with the URUS People global shared services team to help set the annual strategic people priorities. You will play a key role in developing and delivering on Trans Ova's business objectives, its mid and long-term plans, its culture, and employee engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic PD & HR Consulting
    • Serves on the Trans Ova Genetics executive leadership team and collaborates to plan and develop the Trans Ova Genetics Annual Business Plan and support global expansion
    • Provides coaching and mentorship to executive team and managers
    • Consults with all levels of management, providing People guidance when appropriate
    • Contributes to the URUS People team for centralized expertise and shared services that drive impact for all URUS companies
  • Talent Management & Development
    • Partner with URUS Talent Acquisition Team on strategic and proactive recruitment efforts
    • Leads annual URUS performance management process and provide day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
    • Creates and coaches on career development plans for high potential staff
    • Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success
  • Employee Relationships & Engagement
    • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues
    • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity, accountability, and retention
  • Organizational Effectiveness
    • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructuring, workforce planning and succession planning
    • Leads change management initiatives, including communication plans, stakeholder engagement, and training programs
    • Role models and promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion practices
  • HR Policy & Compliance
    • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance
    • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation
  • Data Analysis & Reporting
    • Analyzes HR metrics, trends, and data to inform decision making, identify areas for improvement, and measure impact
    • Prepares and present insights, recommendations, and reports to senior leadership and stakeholders
  • HR Administration
    • Manages and oversees onboarding process of new employees
    • Collaborates with the URUS North American Shared Services Team to assist employees with payroll or benefits needs
    • Partners with Talent Acquisition Team on employment changes/offers

  • Proficient with HRIS, payroll systems, LMS systems, Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education & Experience:
  • 15+ years of HR experience , ideally with exposure to working in a matrix organization
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR credential required
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and multi-state employment laws
  • HR software systems knowledge (ADP, Oracle, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
