Join the Space revolution and make the impossible, possible.The Space Manufacturing & Engineering Center has a need for a Manager Mechanical Engineering 2, to be a functional manager and contribute technically to programs under the departments of Space Production Operations & Test and Manufacturing Engineering & Operations in Redondo Beach, CA.These are highly dynamic, interactive positions. You will interact with numerous stakeholders including program management, systems engineering, flight hardware design engineers, and logistical support services. Outstanding organizational and leadership skills are required to succeed in these roles.FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Staffing support to all space systems and space programsConducting periodic performance evaluations, including mid-year and annual reviewsProviding technical leadership and guidance to the staffManaging indirect and capital needsProfessional development and mentoring of direct reportsSupporting Functional Homeroom initiatives and projects which include process improvement, Event Response Teams, Corrective and Preventive Action implementationAnalyze metrics to meet cost, schedule, technical performance, and quality commitments.Northrop Grumman offers a competitive and robust benefits program. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
