Position Title: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Direct Reports: Division leads, HR, BD and Sales, Marketing, Finance, Fleet

Location: Southampton, NY

Position Summary:

The COO will oversee the company's day-to-day operations, ensuring operational excellence, efficiency, and alignment with strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will bring leadership experience, strategic vision, and operational expertise to streamline processes, foster innovation, and drive organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Operational Leadership:
    • Lead the company's various departments, including HR, Business Development and Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Divisional operations.
    • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve business performance and profitability.
  2. Strategic Planning:
    • Partner with the CEO to define and execute the company's strategic goals.
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement data-driven strategies to track success and efficiency.
  3. Team Management & Development:
    • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent across operational leadership teams.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performing organizational culture by mentoring leadership staff.
  4. Process Optimization:
    • Identify opportunities to streamline operations and implement improvements to reduce costs, enhance productivity, and improve customer satisfaction.
    • Ensure business processes align with company goals and comply with regulations and quality standards.
  5. Financial Oversight:
    • Work with the CEO and CFO to manage budgets, analyze financial performance, and make strategic decisions to optimize revenue growth and resource allocation.
  6. Change Management:
    • Lead change initiatives by effectively managing organizational transitions and implementing technological or operational improvements.
  7. Business Collaboration:
    • Serve as a liaison with internal and external collaborators, including customers, partners, sub-contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, to maintain strong relationships and effective communication.
  8. Risk Management & Compliance:
    • Identify risks across business operations and implement appropriate measures to mitigate them.
    • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and organizational policies.

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree (MBA or related) preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 10+ years in leadership roles, with significant experience overseeing operations
