Dental Assistant Job at Aura Dentistry & Spa in Renton

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms for patient procedures by ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready.
• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, providing chairside support as needed.
• Take and record vital signs, ensuring accurate documentation in patient records.
• Maintain infection control protocols by sterilizing instruments and managing waste disposal.
• Perform basic dental procedures such as taking impressions, applying fluoride treatments, and assisting with dental imaging.
• Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling visits.
• Provide patients with post-operative care instructions and answer any questions they may have.
• Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as Dentrix.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• Must be highly experienced with Dentrix.
• Previous experience in dental assisting 5 year minimum.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with general dentistry practices is essential.
• Skills in infection control practices to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Experience with medical imaging techniques and 3D scanning technology.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
• A positive flexible attitude and commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
