Job Description
- Strategic Sourcing:
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with business objectives.
- Identify and qualify reliable suppliers, fostering long-term partnerships.
- Continuously evaluate the market to source high-quality materials at competitive prices.
- Supplier Relationship Management:
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with suppliers to maximize value.
- Monitor supplier performance regarding quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness.
- Address and resolve issues related to supplier non-compliance or disputes.
- Procurement Operations:
- Oversee the procurement of raw materials, components, and equipment for manufacturing operations.
- Ensure all purchased items meet quality standards and specifications.
- Manage the purchase order process, including approvals, tracking, and invoicing.
- Cost Management:
- Develop cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or timelines.
- Analyze spending patterns and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Prepare regular reports on procurement metrics and cost performance for leadership review.
- Inventory & Logistics Coordination:
- Collaborate with inventory and production teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Coordinate with logistics partners to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
- Minimize supply chain disruptions through proactive planning and communication.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor the procurement team, ensuring professional development and performance excellence.
- Set goals and objectives for the team, aligned with organizational priorities.
- Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, company standards, and industry regulations.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies to address supply chain disruptions.

The Successful Applicant
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CPM, CPSM, or APICS CPIM are preferred.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing management, preferably in machinery manufacturing or a similar industry.
- Demonstrated success in managing supplier relationships and leading procurement teams.
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Technical understanding of machinery components and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
