Job Description

• Strategic Sourcing:
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Identify and qualify reliable suppliers, fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Continuously evaluate the market to source high-quality materials at competitive prices.
• Supplier Relationship Management:
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with suppliers to maximize value.
  • Monitor supplier performance regarding quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Address and resolve issues related to supplier non-compliance or disputes.
• Procurement Operations:
  • Oversee the procurement of raw materials, components, and equipment for manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure all purchased items meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Manage the purchase order process, including approvals, tracking, and invoicing.
• Cost Management:
  • Develop cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or timelines.
  • Analyze spending patterns and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Prepare regular reports on procurement metrics and cost performance for leadership review.
• Inventory & Logistics Coordination:
  • Collaborate with inventory and production teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Coordinate with logistics partners to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
  • Minimize supply chain disruptions through proactive planning and communication.
• Team Leadership:
  • Lead and mentor the procurement team, ensuring professional development and performance excellence.
  • Set goals and objectives for the team, aligned with organizational priorities.
• Compliance & Risk Management:
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, company standards, and industry regulations.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies to address supply chain disruptions.

The Successful Applicant

• Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CPM, CPSM, or APICS CPIM are preferred.
• Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing management, preferably in machinery manufacturing or a similar industry.
  • Demonstrated success in managing supplier relationships and leading procurement teams.
• Skills:
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Technical understanding of machinery components and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
