Custodian Job at LIVIT Staffing in Des Moines

JT Logistics is seeking a dependable Custodian and Groundskeeper to maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of our warehouse and office facilities throughout the Des Moines metro area. Reporting to the Compliance, Safety, and Facilities Manager, this role focuses on ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Custodial Duties (70%):
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, including mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing restrooms to meet health standards.
  • Restock supplies in restrooms, kitchens, and breakrooms; transfer trash to disposal bins.
  • Ensure facilities are secured and alarms set after cleaning.
  • Report any safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
• Groundskeeping Duties (30%):
  • Maintain exterior grounds by mowing, trimming, and applying ice melt during winter months.
  • Perform seasonal tasks like raking leaves, watering lawns, and clearing litter.

Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and basic groundskeeping tools.
• Must have a valid Class C driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
