Viral Hepatitis Surveillance Specialist

within the Division of Epidemiology, Acute Diseasesection at the Georgia Department of Public Health, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.

This is a temporary part-time hourly position working 20 hours weekly.

Job Responsibilities

Using various data sources to complete demographic information for hepatitis C infections reported to DPH

Performs deduplication of case reports and monitors completeness of data

Assist with hepatitis B and C case investigations, as needed

Assist with additional surveillance projects, as needed

Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree in medical and preventive services from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of experience in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university AND six months of related experience. Working knowledge of how to navigate through and properly use SENDSS

Proficient with Microsoft Excel
