Position Description:

(On-Site position) The Infrastructure Administrator implements, supports, enhances and integrates a multitude of systems for our general user community. This individual will be part of a team that is responsible for the compute, storage, networking, and security requirements within our healthcare enterprise. This individual works with senior leaders, department heads, end-users, other IT administrators, and vendors within the standard course of supporting our clinician's needs, troubleshooting issues and improving the use of systems. The person in this role must communicate easily and clearly with non-technical personnel at varying levels. This position will implement and maintain multiple systems. The position will be performed successfully with limited supervision.

Responsibilities Include: Daily operations, performance, and availability of all infrastructure systems. Participation in the design, build, test, and maintenance of a range of infrastructure systems. Support of our Microsoft compute environment, on premise and cloud based. Involvement with our VMWare environment and the operations of the virtual environment. Implementation and support of our Extreme Networks LAN, WAN, and WLAN environments. Operations of various system and user monitoring platforms. Involvement with data standards, retention and backup operations across multiple systems. Be able to work independently with internal and external customers and vendors. Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain deliverable timelines. Provide Teir 2 and 3 level support for incident resolution. Provide support and training to Teir 1 teams across the organization. Assume the role of a project manager for some IT projects that deal with infrastructure. Ability to communicate with IT team members regarding priorities, and potential projects. Maintain up to date technical product knowledge and learn new technologies as required. Maintain an understanding of current and evolving standards such as privacy, confidentiality, accessibility, security and intellectual property rights. Maintain a secure working environment to protect confidential information and adhere with HIPAA and other regulatory standards. Develop and maintain clear and concise documentation for infrastructure-based systems. Provide input and feedback on policy and processes as we grow the technology environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Four-year Computer Science or similar technical degree required.

Equivalent experience will be considered.

Experience with the Microsoft product lines both on-premises and cloud based.

Server OS, SQL Server, Exchange, Active Directory, Azure, Intune, M365

Fluent in network design principles and best practices.

IP design principles, SD-WAN, Wireless,

Proficient with cybersecurity principles and standards.

Exposure to security systems such as firewalls, IPS systems, ESAs.

Involvement working with virtualization of computer platforms.

VMWare type environment.

Ability to perform job responsibilities with a high degree of initiative and judgment. Sensitivity in relating to persons of varying backgrounds and the ability to work with diverse groups of people possessing various strengths, aptitudes and abilities. Demonstrate oral and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills. High level of desire for continuous improvement and skill advancement. Practical and creative problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills and Qualifications

Experience working in a healthcare organization is preferred.

Awareness of the 24x7 operational resiliency required of healthcare technology.

Experience with Extreme Networks technology would be a plus Experience with Microsoft 365 Administration would be beneficial. Experience working with VMWare virtual environments. Why Work for Us:
