Description
Responsibilities The Configuration Analyst is a key process in the overhaul and repair of large turbine engines. The Configuration Analyst is responsible for implementation, and continuation of organizational configuration processes supporting the overhaul of commercial and military turbine engines in accordance with regulatory, statutory, customer, and organizational requirements.
Duties:
Duties of the Configuration Analyst include the following: •Assuring Service Bulletin(s) and Airworthiness Directives status is current per organizational, regulatory and customer requirements. •Compile configuration documentation ensuring accuracy and completeness. •Collaborate with Configuration Specialist to ensure inclusion of proper documentation. •Collaborate with Production Control to include but not limited to Vender Services and Purchasing to ensure parts reserved for engine build are compliant with configuration requirements. •Collaborate with the Engineering Department to ensure configuration applicability. •Collaborate with Customer Service to ensure Customer Requirements for configuration during the maintenance process is per regulatory requirements. •Collaborate with Maintenance personnel and assure parts utilized during the build are compliant to regulatory and customer configuration requirements. •Maintain a current knowledge of regulatory regulations, good practices, and other external standards. •Interpret and apply customer requirements, federal directives and manufacturer's bulletins and convey information to Production and Quality personnel. •Assist in Work Scope development and revision during the maintenance process to ensure proper configuration requirements. •Maintain Configuration Management internal procedures in a current state with regulatory and Organizational requirements. •Collaborate and communicate with the Quality Assurance Manager on any Non-Conformance issues during the maintenance process and assist with corrective action development.
Experience and Qualifications 1. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Turbine Engine or component Configuration Control process. 2. The successful candidate must have strong computers skills, working knowledge of MS Office applications and advanced knowledge of MS Excel 3. Ability to work with a wide range of technical, sales, repair, management personnel and business process owners globally. 4. Interpersonal and negotiating skills necessary to build effective working relationships. 5. Proven ability to effectively lead cross functional teams and perform root cause analysis. 6. Quantum Experience is a plus 7. FAA Powerplant certification is a plus 8. Previous work experience in an engine MRO environment preferred.
