Purpose
Duties include leading the team responsible for installing, maintaining and supporting Devops Automation and OT Infrastructure systems for Roseburg Forest Products. The Devops Engineering Manager will lead a cross functional team to facilitate automation and process improvement efforts within IT/OT. In addition, the Devops Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing capital projects and ensure that managed projects deliver successful outcomes for Roseburg while adhering to scope, budget, and time constraints.
Key Responsibilities Ensure safety of all team members by adhering to company safety, environmental, and core values Coach and mentor team members to facilitate staff development Manage and support capital project efforts Lead the team that delivers devops automation and infrastructure services for Roseburg. Manage the design, installation, support, and administration of devops automation systems infrastructure, including the underlying container orchestration systems (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.) as well as network and server infrastructure Lead the team in delivering effective support for automated business functions and provide the most reliable possible service and infrastructure delivery for Roseburg. Document and maintain design standards for Roseburg's automation workflows and manufacturing network and server infrastructure systems Initiate & lead process improvement/automation efforts to facilitate cost reduction and increased efficiency in IT and general Roseburg business processes. Manage OT infrastructure projects and OT staff resources and other field work to ensure quality and improve future outcomes Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field and a minimum of 5 years of senior technical level experience or an equivalent amount of training, education, and experience Proven leadership abilities and interpersonal skills with an ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts and issues to a non-technical audience Strong technical, planning, organizational, and execution skills Proficient in devops/automation systems design: Network, Server, Storage, Software Development, Containerization, and related security technologies Experience with several of the following technologies - Cisco IOS, Arista EOS, VXLAN spine-and-leaf, Git, Gitlab, Containerization Technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.), CI/CD pipeline construction and troubleshooting, Linux Systems Engineering/Administration, Python, Ansible, IaC, network automation Preferred Qualifications
Masters and five years of IT infrastructure management experience Industry certifications relevant to the role (Network related certifications [Cisco Devnet, Arista, Palo Alto], Gitlab, Azure Devops certification, CISSP/CISA, Kubernetes, ITIL/ITSM related certifications) Experience with modern devops practices involving source control, automation, programming, scripting and containerization Experience supporting highly reliable/highly critical systems found in areas like healthcare, manufacturing, or government

Purpose
