Requirements: Two (2) years of experience in the area of state government licensing regulation, customer service, application of Florida laws and rules, regulations, and policies and procedures.An Associate’s Degree from an accredited university may be used as an alternative for the years of required experience. Six (6) months relevant work experience in the area of state government licensing regulation and/or customer service. Experience working in state government licensing regulation. Experience using computer software such as Microsoft Office and Adobe. Experience answering questions and inquiries from the public, licensees or regulated institutions relative to policies and procedures established by statutes. The annual salary for this position will be $37,264.08. Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle. This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment. Responses to qualifying questions must be clearly supported by the state application and any omission, falsification, or misrepresentation in the answering of the qualifying questions will be cause for immediate elimination from the selection process. Minimum Qualifications for this position include the following REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Knowledge of the methods of compiling and analyzing data; Knowledge of basic mathematics; Ability to review, analyze and evaluate data; Ability to prepare reports; Ability to understand, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures; Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments; Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing using proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Works closely with investigations and inspections supervisors to create assignments for all regulatory compliance inspections and complaint investigations conducted by the Division. Prepares, compiles, and scans documents and data needed to create field assignments. Process claims against the Preneed Contract Consumer Protection Trust Fund. Assist licensing staff to include processing change of address requests for individual licensees, processing requests for duplicate licenses and other license maintenance activities as directed. Take incoming calls from consumers who have questions regarding deathcare industry matters.
