Summary About the Position: Work in the Headquarters Department of Army SHARP Program Office and serve as the SHARP Program Policy Analyst providing continuous program policy management and oversight of strategic framework affecting legislative, regulatory, and policy development. Responsibilities Lead the development and refinement of policies that support the Army’s SHARP program, ensuring alignment with legislative, regulatory, and executive directives. Perform in-depth analysis of the SHARP program to assess its overall effectiveness in meeting Army objectives. Utilize advanced analytical methods to evaluate program data, identify trends, and measure the impact of prevention and response initiatives. Facilitate cross-agency collaboration to ensure consistency in implementing policies and procedures related to sexual harassment and assault prevention. Serve as a trusted advisor to Army leaders, offering expert guidance on SHARP-related policies and program strategies. Prepare detailed analyses and recommendations to address complex issues and align with organizational priorities. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in the development and refinement of policy recommendations directives as necessary; tracking projects to ensure compliance with objectives and/or policies; and identifying potential problem policy areas through the evaluation of project performance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Problem Solving Strategic Thinking Technical Credibility Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest. Additional Conditions of Employment: Minimum of a favorable suitability determination on a Tier 3 background investigation. Incumbents in these positions are required to self-report civilian arrests, the filing of criminal charges, and/or convictions of any criminal offense to their supervisors and security office. Must attend and graduate from required SHARP training courses within six months of employment. While waiting for training or completion of certification, the employee may be reassigned or detailed to a position that meets the employee's qualifications and skills. The detail or reassignment will be without promotion or demotion and will be until the DoD Sexual Assault Advocate Certificate is provided. Must maintain an active D-SAACP certification and up-to-date commander appointment orders prior to having any victim contact or access to victim information. In the event that D-SAACP certification expires, is suspended or is revoked, the individual is not authorized to serve in any SHARP position or perform SHARP duties until D-SAACP certification is reinstated. Must possess a valid driver's license and have the ability to operate a motor vehicle should the need arise to operate a government vehicle/motor pool vehicle. Background checks against all records required by law, Office of Personnel Management, DoD, and Army policy or regulation will be conducted prior to entering on duty in the position. In accordance with governing regulations, additional checks will be performed on a recurring basis while employed in the position.
