A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Human Resource Management, or an Associate’s degree in Human Resources or Human Resource Management and two (2) years of the required experience may be used as an alternative for the required years of experience. Additional requirements: Four (4) years of experience with compliance standards and employment law. Four (4) years of experience with recruitment processes and techniques. The salary range for this position is $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 annually. Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of compliance standards and employment law. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES : This position supervises employees to include communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees. Additionally, this position is required to plan and direct employees’ work and must recommend actions such as to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, or discipline subordinate employees. The incumbent filling this position will serve as a link between The Office of Information Technology (OIT) and the Department of Human Resources office. In this role you will be carrying out duties in areas such as talent acquisition, employer/employee relations, and strategic planning. The individual in this role will be responsible for working directly with OIT hiring managers to assist with recruitment efforts, managing the recruitment process from start to finish, advising management and employees to respond to employee issues and concerns with HR policy and procedure, recommending various personnel actions and supporting employee relations and assisting staff with the interpretation and application of Human Resource policies and procedures to ensure fair and consistent treatment of all employees.
