Job Description We are seeking a detailed- oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of accounting experience and will be responsible for maintaining financial reports, preparing reports, and assisting with general accounting tasks to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. Key Responsibilities: General Ledger Maintenance: \ Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Financial Reporting: \ Prepare and assist with Management Information System Reports weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timely completion. \ Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures while ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards like GAAP/IFRS. Inventory Accounting: \ Perform inventory reconciliations and help with cost accounting, including analyzing inventory transactions and ensuring proper valuation of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. Bank Reconciliations: \ Reconcile company bank accounts on a monthly basis, ensuring proper documentation and resolving discrepancies as needed. \ Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations, monitor cash flow, and prepare related cash reports. \ Bank deposits Accounts Receivable Support: \ Assist in the management of accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate posting of invoices and payments. \ Review customer invoices, monitor collections, and reconcile accounts receivable ledgers. Month-End Close: \ Support month-end and year-end close processes, assist with special projects, and implement process improvements as directed by management. Internal Controls & Compliance: \ Assist with maintaining strong internal controls and ensuring adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. \ Participate in the inventory cycle count process, ensuring regular verification of inventory accuracy and timely reconciliation of discrepancies. Costing Analysis & Manufacturing Support: \ Collaborate with the operations team to track production costs, analyze variances, and assist with budgeting and forecasting processes. Audit Support: \ Provide necessary documentation and analysis to support external auditors during annual audits and other regulatory reviews. \ Provide proper documentation and support for internal and external audits, address audit inquiries, and implement recommendations. \ Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Required Skills/Abilities: \ Excellent verbal and written communication skills. \ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. \ Strong knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting. \ Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles. \ Ability to correctly prepare tax reports. \ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) or similar software, and accounting software. \ Dynamics experience preferred. Education and Experience: \ Bachelors degree in Accounting, or related field, required. \ 1-2 years of related experience required. Physical Requirements: \ Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. \ Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Salary \$65,000- \$75,000 Full-time- Days Work In person
