Job Title: Production Supervisor
Job Description

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading, planning, organizing, and directing all daily activities for the shredding/rasper/crumb operations. This is a hands-on role where you will work side by side with your crew to ensure smooth operations and address any problems that arise.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and direct plant operations.
  • Drive safety, quality, and productivity initiatives.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce operating methods and procedures to eliminate problems and improve product quality and revenue.
  • Provide leadership, management, and motivation to achieve high levels of employee performance and retention.
  • Communicate job expectations, plan, monitor, and appraise job results, and coach, counsel, and discipline employees.
  • Initiate, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Recommend improvements to facilities, equipment, or procedures to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Manage all production-related activities to ensure they are performed safely and meet company safety and environmental requirements in a unionized environment.
  • Coordinate manufacturing-related activities within the plant to ensure products meet specifications and testing is performed routinely.
Essential Skills
  • Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent industry work experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
  • At least three years of supervisory experience highly preferred.
  • Ability to excel in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to effectively deal with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently within interpretive guidelines.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and influence.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Great team player.
  • Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in developing an employee-led safety culture.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (3+ years).

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of NA, Maryland.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $71400.00 - $89300.00
