We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Ashland, Kentucky. This role involves overseeing our accounting operations, including accounts payable and general ledger maintenance, ensuring compliance with GAAP and applicable laws, and implementing and maintaining internal controls and accounting policies. The position also requires financial reporting, capital planning and budgeting, and facilitation of coordination with both internal and external auditors.
Responsibilities
• Oversee the daily operations of our accounting department, including supervision of accounts payable and general ledger entries.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings in compliance with GAAP and relevant regulations.
• Implement and uphold internal controls and accounting policies across our organization.
• Handle financial reporting tasks, including ESG reporting and reporting in OneStream.
• Develop and enhance our data analysis capabilities to support business decision-making.
• Assist in capital planning and budgeting to align with our financial goals.
• Review journal entries and account reconciliations at the end of each month.
• Assist with the preparation and analysis of our operating budget.
• Ensure compliance with our accounting policies and procedures across all divisions and develop or enhance these policies as needed.
• Facilitate the coordination with internal and external auditors to maintain transparency and accuracy in our accounting practices.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency within our accounting operations.• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as an Accounting Manager/Supervisor.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is a must.
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required.
• Familiarity with BlackLine software is beneficial.
• Knowledge of Concur expense management system is desired.
• Proficient in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
• Ability to handle all Accounting Functions efficiently.
• Hands-on experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management.
• Experience in Auditing is necessary.
• Capable of managing Billing Functions effectively.
