First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking a Compliance Officer to join the Service Delivery Division (SDD). The Compliance Officer is responsible to act as the COC (Compliance Officer Coordinator) for Service Delivery Division and provide support to Retail Banking Group's (RBG) compliance and risk management officer. This includes acting as the alternate RBG liaison for the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)/Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Improvement Act (FDICIA), Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC), and other internal regulatory/legislative/network association requirements that affect the business (e.g. Quality Assurance programs, preparation for regulatory examinations, internal audits, etc.). At times these responsibilities will involve the entire Retail Banking Group in addition to Service Delivery Division.
Compensation:
The annual salary range for this role is $63,000 - $75,000/yr; commensurate with experience.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM (Hours may vary)
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent work experience with compliance laws and regulations, legal field, or auditing required. At least 2 years work experience with compliance laws and regulations required. 1-3 years' work experience in banking industry or background in state and federal rules as they pertain to branch operations is highly desirable. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills essential. Able to handle confidential matters judiciously. Must be proficient in the use of MS Word and Excel. Excellent organization skills to perform multiple tasks simultaneously within strict timeframes. Attention to detail with prompt follow-through. Sound judgment; logical and critical thought processes when developing and recommending solutions. Excellent time management skills. Ability to work with individuals at all levels.
