Open Scientific provides contract staffing and direct hire recruitment services for the scientific, engineering, laboratory and manufacturing sectors.

Job Description

A large cosmetic company is looking for an experienced Forklift Operator in the surrounding Melville area. This person must have at least a full year of experience on a sit down forklift. A clean driver’s license is required. The company will provide you with certification, if necessary.

Shift: Both 1st shift (Monday through Friday) with flexibility for Overtime

Pay Rate: $13 per hour

Job Responsibilities:

1. Replenish products as needed
2. Assure that the machines are running properly
3. Perform quality checks to confirm finished products are not damaged
4. Prior warehouse or manufacturing experience is a must
5. Experience working with pharmaceutical or food manufacturing a plus
6. Must be able to lift 60lbs
7. This is a physical, active position that requires standing, bending, lifting, carrying, kneeling, etc.
