Description

Pocono Ambulatory Surgery Center (PASC) opened in 1986 in the Stroudsburg Borough of Monroe County as an Ophthalmic Surgery Center. In 1990, PASC became multi-specialty and has been recognized for excellence in patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department.
• Responsible for the medical management of patients rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other procedures.
• Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments.
• Obtain and/or verify patient consent.
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient.
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
• Monitor the patient's physiological condition.
• Perform clinical interventions as needed.

Requirements

• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine.
• ECFMG and FLEX certification.
• Completion of approved residency in anesthesia.
• Currently licensed as a physician.
