The Accounting team is responsible for all general accounting tasks, including expense accruals, analysis, consolidation, and financial statement preparation. This also includes technical accounting research and application, internal controls, and process automation/optimization.
Your role
Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Accounting Manager is a key role on the team responsible for overseeing and optimizing the general accounting and financial close processes. You will work closely with senior leadership, Revenue Accounting, AP, Treasury, Tax, and FP&A.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, develop and mentor a team of 3 senior accountants.
- On a monthly basis, close the books in accordance with GAAP in 8 business days. This includes journal entry review and approval, review of high-risk areas and management estimates, and account reconciliation review/approval.
- Specifically, this role is responsible for managing the accounting for all salary and benefit expense transactions recorded in the financials (various bonus plans, commissions, health insurances, professional liability insurance, retirement benefits, etc.).
- Automate and streamline manual and inefficient processes.
- In tandem with peer accounting managers and IT, maintain Workday GL system.
- Assist with integration of acquired practices into existing accounting processes.

- At least 6-8 years of progressive experience as an accounting professional, including at least 2 years of managerial experience.
- Bachelor's degree - Accounting.
- Public accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP.
- Large ERP system experience (i.e., Workday, SAP, Oracle).
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Able to work in a dynamic, fluid, fast-paced environment.
- Able to effectively manage a remote team.
- CPA.
- Workday (ERP system) experience.
- Healthcare industry experience.
