Description

General Description: Bryant & Stratton College’s (Wisconsin) Athletic Department is the leading junior college athletic program in Wisconsin offering 20 intercollegiate sports programs. The Bobcats volleyball program competes at the NJCAA Division II level (scholarship offering). All coaches are responsible for the overall development and advancement of a competitive athletic program while demonstrating high moral and ethical standards and positive sportsmanship.

Duties:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Assist the Head Coach in all aspects of the volleyball program with an emphasis on recruiting and game analysis.
  2. Help recruit players, making phone calls and conducting virtual and in-person meetings.
  3. Utilize digital platforms to scout and recruit prospective student-athletes.
  4. Become knowledgeable of all National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) volleyball rules, including student-athlete eligibility requirements.
  5. Supervise staff and student-athletes while traveling to ensure their safety.
  6. Assist with scheduling, organizing, supervising, and conducting practices and matches.
  7. May be required to drive vans to volleyball games.
  8. Other duties as assigned by the head coach and athletic director.

Qualifications

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree
Required: Head Volleyball coaching experience at the high school level or above and/or recruiting experience.
Desired:

  • Volleyball coaching experience at the college level.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with digital recruiting tools and platforms.
  • Knowledge of Wisconsin and Midwest volleyball high schools and club teams.
  • First aid/CPR certification is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, planning, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to serve as a positive role model for young adults.
  • Familiarity with NJCAA rules and regulations is a plus.
  • Clean driving record is preferred.
