As an Accounting Manager, you will oversee the financial operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with GAAP and accuracy in financial reporting. Reporting to the Fiscal Director, you will utilize your core skills in accounting and double-entry bookkeeping, while leveraging premium skills in non-profit fund accounting and State compliance. Your role will involve mentoring and managing accounts payable, receivable, and bookkeeping. With a focus on financial management and reporting, you will contribute significantly to the organization's fiscal health and strategic decision-making. The Accounting Manager will supervise the general accounting activities of the Agency and directs the work of the Fiscal Department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial concepts
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
- Experience with double-entry bookkeeping and financial statement preparation
- Familiarity with State compliance and non-profit accounting practices
- Excellent financial report writing and interpretation skills
- Ability to mentor and guide accounting staff
- Experience in accounts payable and receivable management
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $62,884.00 per year
