Talent Pool for Adjunct Faculty – American Sign Language
Position Type: Part-time, adjunct
Compensation: $800 - $950 per credit, based on adjunct faculty rank (determined by education and experience)
Location: NHTI Concord’s Community College, Concord NH
Overview:
NHTI is building a pool of qualified adjunct faculty candidates across various disciplines to fulfill future instructional needs. Joining this pool offers an opportunity to teach courses that provide students with essential knowledge in American Sign Language (ASL) with an emphasis on practical applications and real-world relevance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in ASL, or mastery of ASL plus a Master’s degree in Education or at least 18 graduate credits ASL, Education or another relevant field.
- Experience: At least two years teaching ASL at the college level.
- Desired Qualification: Familiarity with Canvas (or similar LMS).
- Residency: Must reside in NH, VT, ME, MA, RI, or CT.
Position Responsibilities:
- Course Delivery: Provide instruction using curricula aligned with department and program standards.
- Student Engagement: Foster active learning through discussions, assignments, and assessments.
- Assessment & Feedback: Evaluate student performance, provide feedback, and maintain accurate records of student progress.
- Professional Development: Stay current in your field and adhere to institutional policies and guidelines.
