The Salesforce Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining Salesforce solutions, ensuring high-quality delivery to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Public Health Infrastructure Program (PHI). This position utilizes various tools and technologies, such as Lightning/Visualforce pages, LWC components, Triggers, Apex classes, Flows, Batch processes, Test classes, and API-based integrations. Proactively seeks continuous improvement, this position designs and implements custom objects, fields, workflows, and validation rules. This role provides technical assistance and support for Salesforce configuration, customization, and integration. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, gathers requirements and ensures successful implementation of Salesforce solutions. This position is currently remote to the Atlanta, GA area, but may transition to hybrid or fully onsite.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to pass a customer (CDC) background check for access to facilities, equipment and property.
  • Certification in Salesforce Admin, Salesforce Platform Developer 1, and Salesforce Platform App Builder.
  • Experience with Salesforce Data Migration, Flows, and Salesforce.com Development is required.
  • Experience with Apex Programming and Lightning Web Components (LWC) is required.
  • Experience with Salesforce OmniScripts, DataRaptors, OmniStudio, and FlexCards is highly preferred.
  • Experience with version control tools (Bitbucket/GitHub) is highly preferred.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Architects and develops Salesforce solutions, including Lightning/Visualforce pages, LWC components, Triggers, Apex classes, Flows, Batch processes, Test classes, and API-based integrations. Proactively engage in continuous improvement efforts for application design, support, code management, release management, and unit testing.
  • Designs and implements custom objects, fields, workflows, and validation rules in Salesforce. Integrates Salesforce with other systems using APIs and web services.
  • Provides Salesforce technical assistance and support. Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to Salesforce configuration, customization, and integration.
  • Configures and customizes Salesforce community portals. Determines requirements based on User Stories and delivers pertinent features.
  • Participates in regular calls with stakeholders to provide progress updates and address risks. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure successful implementation of Salesforce solutions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree with five to seven (5-7) years experience or equivalent combination of education/experience.
