Job DescriptionJob Description Overview: A leading Building and Wrecking company is seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic with extensive knowledge of diesel and heavy equipment mechanics. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, possess the ability to perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of construction equipment, and exhibit high levels of physical fitness, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. Compensation: $24.00/per hour, $49,920.00 Annually Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM Responsibilities: Drive to job sites to inspect engines and equipment Perform services, repairs, and routine maintenance on the construction fleet Clean, lubricate, and inspect trucks, bulldozers, excavators, and other heavy equipment Clean and service machine attachments, such as winches, blades, and side booms Diagnose faults using computerized testing equipment Adjust equipment and replace faulty parts Consult with other mechanics on smaller jobs Maintain effective communication skills Troubleshoot issues on job sites Work after-hours if required Qualifications: Certification as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic 2+ years of experience High School Diploma or GED Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no violations Must pass a drug screen and background check (no violent crimes) Reliable transportation Must have own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Physically fit and able to lift 100+ lbs. Extensive knowledge of diesel or heavy equipment mechanics Proficiency with diagnostic and lubricating equipment Experience with winches, blades, and side booms Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Note: If you do not qualify for this role but know someone who might, please inform them of this great opportunity.
