Starting Salary:
$17.65/hour ($30,358)
Under the supervision of the Principal, the Bookstore Manager/School Treasurer is responsible for performing the following duties:
Handling all responsibilities relating to school finances including district, athletic, and extra-curricular accounts.
Answering phone calls from the second line if the front desk does not answer.
Creating detention letters, updating spreadsheets, and assisting with mailing letters to parents.
Learning about and assisting with bond issues, CPF funds, and budgeting.
Creating and managing student IDs.
Managing Student Incentive System and Box Tops.
Issuing purchase orders for educational fees.
Assisting staff members with the organization of field trips including registration and the collection of money.
Preparing and presenting information for state audits.
Assisting the athletic director to prepare Square/Cash Boxes and to review athletic physicals, and entering information into the system.
Ordering supplies, maintaining inventory control, and making daily deposits of receipts for the bookstore.
Ordering and managing bookstore supplies, P.E. uniforms, and spirit wear.
Assisting students and teachers at the counter during bookstore hours.
Maintaining good communication and public relations on a daily basis.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have accurate and neat keyboarding skills. Candidates must be able to communicate and deal tactfully with staff and various publics including, but not limited to: parents, students, teachers, building level and central office administrators, other township staff members, community patrons, and public and private agencies. Bookkeeping and/or accounting skills are essential. Prior computer experience (data entry), word processing, and calculator required. Knowledge of Infospot, Eventlink, and Square is helpful. Must be well organized and be able to set priorities.
